While the Botesdale Streams Project may not be the first , and is certainly not the largest such scheme undertaken by a group of local volunteers, it does provide a great opportunity for villagers, who by contributing their time and skill, can help put something back into the community 'pot'. The Little Ouse Headwaters Project (LOHP) are an example and local benchmark for volunteering work of this kind and illustrate just what can be achieved with a clear vision and goal. A link is provided below to their website and also to that of The Suffolk Wildlife Trust who have recently become material supporters of our project. However, without the support of both the Botesdale and Rickinghall Parish Councils little progress on our project would have been possible and their ongoing support is critical to ensuring we achieve our set of objectives.
